I have a lovely 20 month jackapoo, who is coming along nicely with recalls etc, but if he gets into a really yukky smelly puddle, he complete loses it, just wants to play splash. I've tried whistling, squeaky toy, food treats. The other week I had practically walk back to the car hoping he'd come, he didn't and when I went back he was still playing in the water and completely unaware I had disappeared. Besides putting him on a lead when I know we are getting near one of these puddles, anyone any other suggestiongs.

I have a Jackapoo!!!!

I would keep him on a lead rein and when he doesn't recall you can 'pull' him to you..
