Waterloo Cup

wonder how his dog did ?Smokin ?

Vinney was,nt there but smokin girl was and daz sais she got it on points but they gave it the other dog, he sais she was flying.

Mark said he dropped in by helicopter, an hour after she'd been beaten! :b

Scott.

Vinnies dog ran like a bag of sh#t and was well beaten, A helicopter dropped in and it was supposed to be Vinny Jones, Clarrisa Was there as was Jonny Scott,

just got back after the Finals a great run by the Winner but an even better run by the runner up who according to a few Irish lads was given away last year as a non chaser? (oh dear what a cock up?)

The most possitive thing was that Vinnie Jones had a dog entered under his own name,

theres been a lot of slagging off about it but if more selebs came out and spoke up for coursing the Goverment would have to take notice.

does anyone know if a video normally comes out of the waterloo cup

And i believe there wasn't too many hares killed either ?

I'm sure the video will be out soon. I was surprised (pleasantly) at how few hares were killed!

Regards,

Scott.

Okay which one of you Sun readers was disguised as a little girl with a ponytail. Mark? Scott?

Not me! I read the Times. 8)

Think a pony tail would be a little obvious.......... obvious it wasn't mine!

Ah yes. I see. Hmm it must have been Mark then.

Why You Monty ~ traind by Mr M O'Donaven (Ireland) The runner up deserves a good tea having been given away as a non chaser last year (so not all non chasers are PTS?)

Day 1 7 hares were brought down, day 2 ~ 5, day 3 ~ 3 which when you think of the number of hares coursed it's a very low kill rate and at the end of the day if a hares week it needs taking out of the gene pool so that only the strong breed.

There won't be a video they stopped producing them a few years back around 98 I think.

Bj ~ there were comment of ~ you cruel b###rds, your hartless, you should be ashamed of yourself? i'm sure the wife must of been with them?

i'd love to be able to have a ponytail? if I did it would need to be a false one?

well i've made it through the 3 days of the waterloo cup with a chest infection and tonsilitus, :( could of had an appointment at the Docs Wednesday morning so I had a choice Finals Day at the Waterloo or Docs to feel better? No competition was there. so i'm now at the Docs Tuesday (if I make it that far, donations of chocs and lucazade most welcome)

You probably all read the Sun
I only look at the pics :b

Fantastic picture!

Who do you say took it?

Just a quickie to register my approval of the above piccy, most impressive!

Look forward to reading the full reports in the Sporting Press. Does anyone else agree that it's kind of a shame that the major coverage of our beloved sporting event (Charles Blanning's excellent pieces in the RP aside) is in the Irish Press and that the Waterloo Cup seldom, if ever, warrants a mention in "The World's Biggest Selling Greyhound Racing Publication" The Greyhound Star. Am considering kicking it into touch as a protest. Still, perhaps I'll get a nice surprise in next month's issue and have to eat these words, but I doubt it.

Sorry to use these pages to vent my spleen, but us Greyhound folk don't have anything as good (that I am aware of) as this site and I always feel welcome here.

Kind regards.

Walesy, I stopped getting the Greyhound Star as it was just ads for stud dogs ect.

have you got an e/mail address for the Editor as i'm sure loads on K9 would support you and send the Ed e/mails asking for coverage!

I think the CA should have a banner done and flown on day 1 as the Antis always fly one these days, i'm looking into doing one myself (seriously as Scott will back up) PARKSTONE WHIPPETS SUPPORT COURSING flown over Altcar at 11am on the 1st day, what do you think.
