We have now owned William for 5 years and have struggled on and of with his weight. Everytime we manage to get his weight ok some thing happens to make him loose it again.First we had the visit to boarding kennels then having got his weight back on him he escaped from the house and was hit by a car. Since then 2 years ago although he eats well he just will not put weight on.
Last week I started giving the 4 young whippets raw chicken mince mixed in with food. I was so impressed with how quickly they looked better so tried William. Just a tiny a mount mixed in with his food. At first he was unsure but then ate it. He is now eating 400g of raw chicken mince mixed in with his food. It is now aweek snince we started him on it and he already looks better.
Its taken us 5 years to get him to eat raw meat. Maybe it'll take another 5 years to get him to eat a raw bone
