Did anyone go to the show on Sunday 19th March? What were entries like in the lurcher show and who won what? I was going to go but decided against it in the end as other things took over - however can't wait to get out and about with Zair to try him in the puppy classes!

I went, as did Wunwin. The entries were huge, and the rings very small, most classes had over a dozen in them, and many over 20 and the rings were so small it was very hard to move in them. Also it was indoors and very cold and noisy which upset quite a lot of the dogs.

Nana won her class :D and got into the last 4 in the Championship :D , but no further :( .

Puppy had her first experience of showing, but just for the experience as she is still to young.

Nothing for Tess and Jo :( .

The racing was after the showing, and again large entries. Nana was third in the under 23" which I was very pleased with as there were some excellent dogs running. Then there was hurdling, none of mine have tried this before, so I was very pleased with both Tess and Nana who jumped with gusto, and amused by Josephine who decided that it is quicker to go under than over :teehee: .

It would be lovely to meet you and Zair at a show. I'll post the next one I am going to.

Thanks OEH - would also love to meet up with you and yours at a forthcoming show. The main thing that put me off going yesterday was the fact that the puppy class was quite late in the day and I thought that if there were a lot of entries throughout the day then we wouldn't get into the ring until late in the day and then what with quite along drive home, having to get the horse in for the night and having to walk the other dogs when I got back home then thought I would leave it until another day - from what you say I am glad I did!!! What won the puppy class as a matter of interest? Also, how old is your pup?

They were both (rough and smooth) quite fine and leggy, about 23" and probably about 10 months, I can't remember which one got the championship. One was either dark blue or black and the other one was fawn. Hope that this helps.

The puppy classes were both enormous.
