hi folks

as xmas draws closer followed by january then feb 19 ive a few questions on behalf of the ulster competitors that need answered. as strangers in town we are unsure if our dogs will need trials before the race, do they have to make a qualifing time? in which case is wessy available on saturday 18 feb so we can give them a run or 2. obviously to do this on race day would be silly as our dogs are disadvantaged instantly come race time. apparently whippets do 275 yards assuming this is 2 bends, what will the lurchers do as weve got both? how will the lurchers be categorised..over and under 23? over 26?

we really need to know this asap as whippet racing on tracks seems to be a weekly event in england and we would like to be give our dogs the neccessary training to be able to compete with the english dogs. times marching on friends..can anyone answer these questions?

john

I suppose if its a case of a few people wanting a trial at a cost of £3 then they can justify being open on the Saturday.

So who wants a trial?

well ther is 2 of us coming over from N.Ireland on the saturday 18th, we have 2 dogs we want to give a trial on the saturday, wud that be possible?

 Rose

They do their trials on a Sunday morning, but with racing on the Sunday i wonder if theyre moving trials anyway, possibly Saturday?? Just a thought.

Who is organising it? Maybe its worthwhile someone who knows management well to have a word, Vicky perhaps?
