We'll be starting back racing at Westhoughton on 12th September and have changed from Thursday nights to Saturdays this year.

We will run on the 12th & 19th and then every alternate Saturday after that providing that day suits the majority, it's hoped by running alternate weeks that we don't clash with Highgate as our members like to race there as well. I would imagine people will just be wanting to trial the first week and then the week after we'll have a handicap, all breeds will get a run.

Entry is £5.00 per dog, £15.00 max for 3 dogs or more & £2.50 for handslips.

Track opens 5.30pm

All the dogs went really well for first night back. Lovely to see Hattie, Jenny & Dodge having their first trials on the bends and loving it.

Really pleasant nights racing with a good atmosphere. We were still a few dogs down through injuries & some still straight racing but most of those will be at the track this week.

Had a few enquiries, so hopefully we should get a reasonable turnout this week.

A much better turnout this week with quite a few trials and some different dogs for racing, nice to see Geoff, Hazel, Greta & Albert all travelling over to support the club.

I will donate trophies for the next meeting (3rd October) for scratch, handicap, pedigrees & lurchers, racing open to ANY experienced bend dog, no set classes, dogs to run with others of similar weight - pre entry.
