Last week we went to tescos and as the security guard a jobs worth to use a lecy scooter you have to get your manual chair out take it in the store leave it with the staff and get a hire lecy one. did this as usual when we came to swap back some old dears have nicked of with my wheel chair it ages to fined them as the security wouldn't look on the camera hes a right git anyway it got sorted.

Today I thought sod this i will wheel myself round in my chair not risking it being biddy naped again. we were half way round and tony forgot something he had just past so i turned round to watch the trolley facing were tony was. There was an old couple stood in the aile talking tony walked past the a good foot away picked up what he wanted turne round and walked back no were near this couple. I was about 6 foot away. anyway the fell shouts at tony EXCUSE ME. Tony a bit shocked asked Wat and he was told EXCUES ME would have been nice. tony then asked what for. All he had done was walk normally past and they were stud still so not as if he had even blocked there way. then nutty old biddy starts shes stood on the far side of her hubby so couldn't have even seen tony " you knocked into him now apologize shouting like a nutter. tony said calmly if i had bumped him i would have but i was no were near him. she was proper of on one. I said as well he was over a foot away to witch i was told to shut up cos apparently i was at the bottom of the alie facing the other way she said lol. she was still asking for an apliage and anyone who knows Tony would tell you if he had done something he would be the first to apologies but he said nowt. even her hubby tried to tell her tony didn't knock him.

Is it the weather the water or just us. I wont be going shopping on a tuesday again look like they release all the nutters that day lol.

A few minutes earlier we were helping a old lady with her shopping so were not all bad

oh yes, grumpy old women are the worst! getting hacked in the back of the ankles, having them literally try and push in front of me in line (im happy to let people in front if i have a fair bit and theyve only a couple of items, but if ive waited for ages with only a few pieces myself, i dont care how old or young you are, im NOT letting you through with an overloaded trolley when ive got three kids hanging off my arms and a shedload of chores ahead of me!) and then getting told that youngsters today are so rude, and to quote hagler, 'we fought the war for you' is definately the phrase of choice they come out with. thats a thought. next time i hear that i might say how well preserved they are, whats their secret? formaldehyde? but however. rant over, ive had a nightmare of a day clearing the loft of an octogenarian, and its taken its toll :b

well with the lack of respect the older generation get these days im not bloody suprised they are a bit grumpy and rude at times !!!

i did read what Wendy posted and yes im sure there are some miserable nasty old people out there.........think back to what the world was like when some of them were growing up and how much everything has changed.....christ i dont blame them for being the way they are !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen disgusting manners from the elderly and equally disgusting from the younger age groups.

I've also seen perfect manner from our senior citizens and also from many well brought-up youngsters.

It's the individual, not the generation!!! :thumbsup:

well if you look at the title aswel, it says at the momnet. I have never had these problems before infact we go out of our way to be nice but stealing a wheelchair isnt just being grumpy and all my aunty and uncles mum and dad fort in the war and they arent like this. theres allways the one that pushes in or does somthing like we just let them get on with it if being in front so important we let them that but both insidenst were out of the ordinery. there had been no bumping or knocking the couple on tonys part he was well away from them. they just didnt say excuedme the woman lost the plot having a go at us calling me a lyer and all sorts and the other couple nicked my wheelchair not talking a bout a bit of grumps but out right oddness
