I'd look a bit closer to home before you make sweeping statements like that :-

A bit of a bold statement, what "type" of whippet are you talking about? What type do you have, correct size? No exaggerations, sound movement both profile and away and back? No over long loin, hind quarters over long, neck a bit long, round bone, fronts like staffies or narrow. Could go on forever.

Can you explain why you made that statement?

Are you saying that coursing whippets - not many left now :( - are straight in stifle? Where have you seen them?

Well all this from a person who shows big untypical bitches, I think it is best to ignore you , you only had to look at the quality at Crufts.

What!!!!!!! coursing type, how do you know my whippets are 'coursing type' ? What makes they 'coursing type'? If you are not happy with the bitches you are showing, why show them, breed something decent maybe?

I'm sure Bertha's dog is Fullerton one side & Walkabout the other, show dogs I believe

Both Fullerton and walkabout, well respected show lines, producing quailty correct size whippets :)

Well for someone who can mate a whopping great bitch with a horrendous front like this back to her father needs to seriously think about what they're doing for the good of the breed!!

Since we're now on to page two and there's no beneficial discussion - just people taking pot shots at each other - I'm closing the thread.

If people want to discuss type and preferences without slating the whole breed or individuals, then feel free to start a new thread with a productive tone in a way that can start discussion, not a flame war.

Thank you.
