This is Cinders,  found wandering the streets of Skipton and not claimed from the stray kennels!!

We are trying to work out what she is, she is quite fine and about 12" tall now at 4 1/2 months (just changed her front teeth, so fairly accurate) She is definitely a little lurcher type, but just what????? She started her vacs yesterday and our vet, who has Irish Wolfhounds said he can see Deerhound, but she doesn't have the build. He just put lurcher on the card.

Any guesses???

Is she a beddie/whippet cross, maybe... Does she shed much?
She's very much like Olivia's Josephine, so possibly a Beardie x ?

Sorry, just re read. Is she really just 12" tall (w00t)

Yep, she is just 12" to the shoulder at the moment!! (4 1/2 months old)  She really is a mystery!!
Yes, I can see. Wire-haired dachshund x whippet ? (w00t) Dachsie crosses can be reasonably long in the leg, my neighbour had a dachs x collie that was about that size.

Glad you put the correct photo on cos I was thinking you & your vet were mad!

Have you got any of her standing up - not sure if she's very leggy for a lurcher?

She is lovely

and example of dachs x whippet.

The ears are very dachsie I think, and the pose in the last photo is very much so. Lovely looking dog anyway.

Had me worried there for a while too! :D

Cindy is very small, My Callista who is now as an adult 18 1/2" was 12" at 10weeks, and Genevieve who is 4 1/2 months now is 16".

Most probably she is not cross of two purebred dogs. Looks to me most of her ancestors are small whippets with just little bit of something with a rough coat.

Maybe a miniatur schnauzer, I do not think it could be daschhund, the head is not at all daschund.

She is very  She has the same shape & hairyness as my Scrumpy, just a different colour. We don't know what she is either, guesses are BeddyX Whippet or part Irish Terrier. Someone said Deerhound X but she's nowhere near big enough. ( months & 21" to the shoulder)

Scrumpy

Cannot guess what breed types she may be, but she looks a real cutie.

If a new home needs to be found, hope she soon finds a lovely family.

:luck: :luck: :luck: Cinders
