If you're lamping rabbits, he'll be fine.

'Size isn't everything' as my missis keeps re-assuring me!!

If the dog is game enough and has a good idea of what you're asking of him, then I can't see any problems.

Generally the bigger the dog, the quicker it'll be and speed is important when hunting. Having said that though some small dogs are quicker than their bigger allies so I would say it depends entirely on the dog and the work you put in.

19 inches at that age is a reasonable size, particularly when you look at some fully grown hunting bitches.

Don't worry. Put the work in, it'll pay dividends.

I think your dog will be fine for lamping, and an ideal size, speed helps but not without brains.I've seen really fast dogs that can't catch rabbits as they run flat out at them and when the rabbit turns the dog just goes straight past. A good lamping dog is a dog that thinks and at 11 months old i would start to take your dog out for a few easy runs on a dark windy night. Don't expect too much too soon and always know the ground you are running your dog on.

good luck

Lovely looking dog, his colour is really eyecatching, best of luck with the lamping :luck:

UR DOG WILL DO THE JOB ITS NOT THE SIZE THAT MATTERS IF THE DOG WANTS 2 SNATCH THE RABBIT IT WILL GOOD LUCK
