I am flying with my Sasha over to Europe this summer - I got excited after our Dubai BIS last Feb so signed us in for some shows over in the civilisation.. exciting!

I want to ask - what travel crate do you use? The one I have is the regular medium one (60cm in height and 80am large), she fits in and turns around OK but i think she may feel bit 'sqeezed'. It is 5 hours flight so want to make her feel as comfy as possible but withough being overcharged by the airline.

Any experience?

Hi there,

When we flew Suvi back from Finland last year we used a crate that was 100cm long and 80cm high, and then she was only 10 months old. We probably could have gone one size smaller but the airline regulations stipulated that the dog had to be able to stand and turn easily and we wanted her to be really comfortable. -_-

Five hours is quite a long time so I think it would be wise to get the bigger size. It also meant that when she had a little accident (or two) she went right at the back of the cage and didn't have to lie in it, although Heathrow staff did throw all her bedding away on arrival.

Thanks- these were my thoughts too.. off to get a bigger crate now!
