A CHAP I KNOW HAS ASKED MY OPINION ON HIS NONE PEDIGREE RACING 12 MONTH OLD PUP. IT HAS ONLY DROPPED ONE TESTICLE, WHAT SHOULD HE DO ?

If the dog isn`t suffering poor form then I`d personaly, and from experience, suggest doing nothing.

If the dog has poor form then removing the retained testicle may improve things but I wouldn`t count on it.

There is a fair bit in the archives a search should reveal on retained testicles, mono orchids/crypto orchids and the possiblity of the retained testicle becoming cancerous.

i had a greyhound that we had running at wimbledon when he came over from ireland his trial times were ok but had a retained testacle he was 16 mth when we had him our trainer said it has not affected his running but at two it droped on its own, so maybe ask your vet or just wait and see when his matued maybe it might drop on its own,. :- "

Hi tony hope you have had a great time over the festive season and are ready for this year . I thought it was you that was in odd fellows not dog .Kipper had the same trouble and when he needed his teeth descaling the vet said he would have to put him under so i thought it was a pity to waste all that anesthetic so i told him to remove the testicle at the same time need-less to say Kipper dont like his teeth being messed with now thought it was a very deep rooted tooth HA HA (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) bet your glad your dentist dont do same eh?
