(ps I'm also posting this in general dogs to get as many responses as possible- sorry :b )

She looks like a whippet x bedlington.

My little girl looks a bit like her.

This is my little girl...didn't work last time!

I would say whippet/bedlington/saluki/deerhound

do you know what she is?

she is lovely

OEH - what kind of height is she? :)

Im hopeless at guessing , but whatever her origins shes beautiful

She's 21" and 11 months, I was told (by her breeder) that she is 3/4 whippet, 1/8 grey, 1/8 beared collie.

The reason I am asking is that I'm not sure I believe him. I think that she looks just like a minature deerhound and there appears to be very little whippet in her looks.

I was looking at the pics of the beautiful Ornish and it really could be the same dog appart from the colour (and the size).

She's got the same tail, back legs, straight shoulders and neck and blue/grey patch round her nose.

She moves like a deerhound rather than a whippet or a grey (though I don't know how a breadie moves)

I had a WhippetX Bedlington X greyhound, he was 24" looked very similar but his hair looked more softer. The owner probably told you the truth.what did they gain by lying. You wanted him as a pet. with an option to go rabbiting.

My dog when I stood him by a Deerhound had similar looks.Except the deerhound was massive.

What ever it will be a fantastic dog.I'd take it home tomorrow.

I'd say bedlington/greyhound cross. She looks alot bigger than 21''. She looks more on the lines of 23/24''. :))

I know she looks bigger doesn't she, I keep on measuring her and the tallest I ever get is 21.5" , she's just really skinny (didn't like eating before we had her :x )

I thought she looked taller and with that lovely boned frame, thought she must have some saluki somewhere

I have to honest though - I'm no expert! (far from it!!!)

Looks to have deerhound in her, or even a first cross deerhound x greyhound, her length would suggest this, also her lean body. DXG `s are mostly always brindle, but genetically balcks are possible, Ive bred some blacks over the years, not unlike this one. Long neck, head shape, coat type also point in this direction, whats her temperament like? these crosses usually mimic that of pure deerhounds, what heigh is she? 26 upwards and she will definately fit the bill. But when breeding lurchers to lurchers anything can appear, seen some that resembled deerhound, some like collie crosses others like whippets, all from the same litter.

Hi OEH, hows things, and how is josephine doing since you got her? when i was talking to u at the pride of peaks i actually thought josephine resembled my other dog quite a bit but u never seen him because i only took Tori over! you say the person said she was beardie cross lurcher well she probably is with maybe bedlington in there some where aswell, i see alot of people saying deerhound/greyhound but her being only 21" in height i dought it! alot of bedlington lurchers do resemble deerhounds and deerhound lurchers! well here is a few pics of my other dog Cody he is first cross bedlington/whippet!

(he would normally be as rough coated as josephine but he has just been shaved in this pic!) :b

This is another pic of him with Tori, he has the same wee bluey/grey band over his nose! :b

Yes definately a (big poacher) pocket sized deerhound  Looks a cracker

I would have guessed at greyxbedlington, but good chance % are as the breeder described.

Strange way they sometimes turn out, have a friend that kept two from a whippetxbed mating, one thrown very much to the whippet side with broken coat, elegant lines and quiet nature, the other very much to the bedlington side with dense rough coat, stockier build and terrier nature  Would'nt think they came from the same litter if I did'nt know better.

She looks like my Lupin (except bigger) who is half whippet, quarter bedlington + grey & allegedly a bit of collie. Lupe is whippet sized.

Gorgeous doglet whatever the mix! :)
