sadly i have come to the conclusion that my whippet x cross italian greyhound bitch will need to be rehomed after xmas. I'm pregnant and due in early may! I have two ig x whippets one dog and one bitch! Brother and sister the dog is one the bitch two years old. I wanted to keep them both but my bitch is snappy and so unpredictable she has bitten before whilst having a phantom and if startled turns quickly to snap or warn you! She is by no means a nasty girl just a bit nervous at times and is weary of strangers she soon warms upto them in the end but barks at first sight! She has also had growling fights with smaller dogs never any teeth but lots of noise and hackles! Obviously this is why she isn't trust worthy around a baby. She is so loving clever and beautiful dog who'd make any one of you hound lovers a brilliant loving pet. She is spayed. She is my world and best friend but i would never forgive myself if she bit my baby. My dog on the other hand is another matter complete softey! Do you think i should rehome them together or not. I'm worried my dog will miss her. She will be fine without him. But he's a needy boy! Any advice? My bitch would only be rehomed to someone who will give her a lot of attention and love her like i do! Also she would be put on a trial to see how she got on! :- (

Try putting your post in the rehoming section, you might get more interest- have you tried Scruples??

Have you contacted the breeders of these dogs and asked for their help?
