i hope chris doesnt mind me adding a poll someone asked me to put one on. ive tried to think off all the different racing but dont know if ive covered it all. hope i have but if not then please say what u think. me personally i wud like to see a combination of yds per 1lb (or 2ft a lb) abcde racing those both with cons racing but also time trials 4 those with club dogs @ each open regardless of whether its abcde or yd per 1lb and cons. JMO

arghh stupid pc topic now on 3 times but i closed the other 2 so u can just answer in this one.

theres loads of diferent formats 2 foot yard a pound half yards distances etc dont think we need to change imo

good to have a poll to see everyones opinions.

think the BWRA nat and NNWRF should stick with the formats they have and maybe the BWRA regions and clubs try running their opens in a different format such as time - 1/2yd/lb - ABC

Look like abc racing is looking good carol

abc racing in classes i.e could race in 3 classes up to 20lb ,26lb,32lb

or could race in 5 classes 19lb,23lb,27lb,31lb,35lb

alternate racing 2ft/lb or yd/lb & 1/2 yd/lb

just an idea ;)

i don't mind the way opens are run now ,but something as to be done to try and and get attendances back up,

Personally don't think its formats we run, think its just a decline in whippet racers. Not sure if you broke the classes up anymore than 2 classes you would have enough in each class to run ABC!!! Would anyone run at opens that were straight yd/lb or 2ft/lb (ABC) or otherwise, that way dogs wouldn't be running solo's or two/three dog races in small classes, at least if all in (could be dog and bitch separate) the races would be full races and there would be no solo's for equal runs etc. make it more entertaining for spectators too. Obviously lightweights and heavyweights could draw together but at least you wouldnt know who you would be running with week in week out, luck of the draw could mean you drew an easyish heat or could be that the 'best' few dogs could draw together could be a much more varied programme instead of 'almost' knowing what you would be running against at each meeting

WHY NOT MAKE IT 2 WEIGHT CLASS 16 TO 24 AND 25 TO32 LESS CHANCE OF A SOLO
