    Hello,
We rescued a dog from Romania a couple of weeks ago she was only listed as a cross but the rescue and ourselves definately think colly but what else can people see?

We don't really care what she is it makes no difference we are just curious really =)

    Thanks

    Dare I say two dogs?
I see the bc likeness too, as for the rest well ... it really doesn't matter, she looks lovely and as long as you love her then she will always be a champion.

We have no idea the rescue said she was a cross so we guessed the collie bit quite easy but then we couldn't notice anything else.

Asking out of curiosity she is our first dog so we don't have much experience with different breeds and what not.

She looks collieish but there may also be a tiny hint of something huskyish, which is a common 'look' in Eastern European rescues.

Someone told me that these street dogs can have had random breeding going so far back that trying to find the individual breeds that made them up is like looking at a lump of brown Plasticene and trying to detect all the hints of red, yellow and green that it was originally made up of. You could always consider a DNA test - not that it matters in the slightest what she's made up of, of course, but it can still be fascinating.

Never thought of the dna test it would be interesting to know but that will be way down the road if we did it.

Alot from the rescue did have that same sort of look thinking about it.

It's awful what they do to these dogs the lady started telling us but then she stopped at her own accord.

    Thanks for the replies.
