There seems to be an awful lot of lurchers being stolen.

Whats the big attraction? just hunting and breeding?

We were approached today by a lady who has horses, she wants to use Kipper to line her Alfred lookalike lurcher, she was very keen and is going to contact us as soon as her bitch comes into season. :b

Karen,

Round here it's a nightmare having whippets. There is a couple of local gypsy sites (as we all have) and I have been approached on several occaisions...and normally it goes like this....

'Is that a bitch'? NO 'Does it course'? NO 'Is it a racer'? NO 'It looks fast' YEAH HE CAN RUN BIT 'Do you wanna breed' NO 'Do you wanna sell' NO 'Where do you live'? MILES AWAY, thanks very much...It worries me me to death when travellers approach me...

Personally, I've only been approached once by a man in a transit with a few kids asking if i had any pups to sell, his main interest was Kipper.

But i still can't see the big interest in stealing lurchers.

It would be quite nice though at this time of year to be approached by travellers, especially if they wore crowns, capes and rode on camels. eh? ;)

P.S and when your approaching 60 like Steve, he's grateful for anyone approaching him, bearing gifts or not.

Nice one Karen!!

So, he doesn't get approached by women then :D No? Neither do I!

Maybe the travellers problem is restricted to certain areas...but around here in the summer we did have a lot...and it was always the same...'need your roof doing'..'what about the tree in the front garden' etc...

Trouble is people use 'em and they keep coming back
