Thanks Helen - The Biennial should be an inclusion in everyone's library of whippet books etc.
Hi there - I am very fortunate to have most of the Biennials and that is only due to my dear old friend Mr Phil Gibson of 'Parkette' fame in Australia. Phil who imported a whippet from Mrs C Simmonds from memory has given me all his copies and I will treasure them.louisetope said:The biennials are like bibles! I was so lucky to get to purchase the full set a couple of years ago, plus several of the year books which preceded the biennals.
Being relatively new to the breed, but being obsessed with whippet history and bloodlines, it's amazing to look back and put faces to names.
The earliest one I have is 1960 - that's 12 years before I was even born !!!!!
I love sorting my advert for them - it's almost like an honour to be in there!

Thanks Helen  i'll def be having one! and would like to put a pic in too if poss!dolly said:Its a A5 size book, it has a list of CC and Res CC and BP winners for the previous two years,
It is bascially a who's who's, but dont let that put you off, the majority of exhibitors do splash out on having a page or two. It is Very usefull when choosing a stud dog, or where to purchase a puppy. Also its lovely to see the newer exhibitors and owners advertsing their wins, or just a way of saying heres my whippet and i love them to bits
Its now in colour and last time i think that was around £60 per page, but you do get a free copy when its ready, usually CRUFTS
