Thank you all so much for your answers to my questions about how far Whippets would walk on the lead. I knew down inside that i wanted another Whippet or Whippet x. 
If you read my previous note you will be aware that i have a Bedlington x Whippet named Jake. Jake loves people but dosnt like other dogs he was ok with my Megan as she was with me first and had a canny way of getting around him. I also have acquired a 14 yr old golden lab (this is my hubbys dog) when Ben met Jake 5 years ago and they started to live together there were fireworks and some damaged lab ears for a couple of months Sorry to go on but i need your opinions should i get a puppy or should i go for an older rescue dog Ben wont last forever and Jake will be lonley without him. Also any favoured places to get a puppy/rescue dog i live in the North West
