I NOTICE THAT JUDGING AT ONE OF MY LOCAL OPEN SHOW IS JOHN TURNBULL,CAN WE STILL SHOW UNDER HIM AS WE GOT A WHIPPET OFF HIM,BUT HE DID NOT BREED HIM PERSONALLY,HE WAS BRED BY SOMEONE ELSE BUT THE DAM IS A TURNSTONE + SIRE IS CAVAIER AND HE IS CALLED SOLO KNIGHT AT TURNSTON.WHICH IS WHY I WANT TO FIND OUT FIRST BEFORE WE WASTE OUR ENTRIES FEES AND NOT MAKING A FOOL OF OURSELVES.ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE GRATEFUL PLEASE

But the Turnbulls did own him, didn't they?? The rule is that you cannot show under someone who has boarded, handled or owned (including breeding) the dog in the prior 12 months to the show, but I don't think I would show at any time under the judge if any of those scenarios applied.

Yeah, I don't think it would do you any favours even if the 12 months have passed. Also, it may be worth asking or considering how John Turnbull will feel about it, it would almost certainly put him in a bit of an awkward situation :b .

I reckon its probably best avoided, theres plenty of other shows around this summer.

Its a bit of a no win situation for all concerned really. If you win John will seem to be facey and if you dont win you will feel a bit silly. I KNOW John will be very honest but its them outside the ring that will be making judgments. I try not to do anything that will look or be of embarrasment to any party. Shut up Jax!!

 :huggles: :- "

yes, plenty of other shows to go to with out putting you and John under presssure. :))

THANKS FOR EVERYONES ADVICE. THERE IS NO WAY WE WOULD PUT ANYONE IN A AWKWARD POSITION , LIKE YOU SAY THERE'S PLENTY OF SHOWS TO GO TO .
