Hi everyone I hope someone can be of help to me here I am based in North Kent (Medway) and would like to know if there is any whippet racing or other types of meetings for whippet owners in Kent ? I am now on my second whippet the first my beloved Jake had to be PTS at the beginning of this year, my current and much loved Smokey is my new addition to the family he is 9 months old blue KC reg and as scatty as most of them are at his age, I have owned him for a month now and he has settled in very well. He starts training classes next week as he is nervous of other dogs so badly needs socialising, and we would very much like to become more involved in the wonderful world of whippets so we are looking for any like minded people clubs or associations in our locality and would appreciate anyone pointing us in the right direction, many thanks Chris

Honeyhills race nr Maidstone, I am sure they will see this soon and be in touch, or google honeyhills whippet and their website will pop up.

Hi Chris

Harvel PWRC race at Bean, near the Bluewater Shopping estate. We are there tomorrow, and alternate Sundays with Honeyhills.

Hi again everyone had a great 3.5 hrs at Harvel today and will become a regular there I was also invited to Honeyhills next week so shall give that a go as well, Smokey needs satnav fitting his first trial he ignored the lure and turned right on a straight track his second i had not quite made it to the end so he again ignored the lure and came to me but we both enjoyed it and that was my intention and Smokey definitely benefited from meeting other dogs and people everyone was very helpful and I will be joining. Many thanks to Ian who guided me through as I did not have a clue as to what goes on at such meetings bye for now Chris

Hi Chris, it was good to see you and the handsome Smokey on Sunday. He did really well when you think it was his first time dealing with lots of different people, dogs and sounds. I'll be putting the details of Honeyhills on this forum very soon and hope you'll come to us on Sunday (weather permitting).

Dave

Hi Dave weather permitting I will be there Chris

Hi again everyone I attended and joined Honeyhills today and was made very welcome by everyone present Smokey enjoyed his self to and gained a couple of female admirers, these runs seem to have cured him of his car sickness and we both had an enjoyable few hours, many thanks to Dave for guiding us through Chris
