Posted this in the general section first, should have been here! D'oh! (w00t)

As many of you know, I run Phoenyx Animal Refuge, it's just a small rescue and mainly deals with animals of all shapes and sizes that are old or have problems and they stay here for life. I also help with greyhounds, lurchers and whippets in danger but can only do this on a very small scale. I have a very soft spot for whippets and would love to be owned by an iggy at some time in the future too

I have an ex-racing non-ped whippet (Molly) and I have never been to a whippet race. I've 'met' online some very nice people from the whippet community here, especially when I was trying to help Holly and the first Jake, and I'd love to be able to meet some of you in person too.

Soooooo, the point of this rambling is this: where/when/are there any whippet meetings up near me that I could venture to? I promise I'll bring Molly along (even though she'll be a complete nightmare) if I'd be invited (w00t)

I'm at Greenside, near Blaydon, in between Hexham and Newcastle upon Tyne :D

Hi Linda, thanks!

The address is:

Phoenyx Animal Refuge

PO Box 148

Greenside

Ryton

Tyne and Wear

NE40 4YN

I use the Refuge address for most stuff anyway as Dylan has a habit of 'intercepting' the post at home.... sellotape is a wonderful invention....well, he is a whippet cross (w00t)
