Mazey is now running loose and very frightened in the Shirley area of Birmingham. She has been seen by several people including airport staff, but is so terrified that no one has managed to get near her yet.

The dog in the Shirley/airport area has been caught but isn't Mazey.

However, what is believed to be the real Masey was spotted eight times last night in the Berkswell Hall to Hampton Lane area, around the A452. This is not far from the scene of the car accident.

any info at all call 01952 603818 - Sharon.

After 2 weeks hearing nothing, owner has had a call from a lady who is 90% sure she saw Maizy yesterday at 2.00 pm in Berkswell Road near the Bear Inn, Solihull. Even had the same collar on.

Please keep an eye open for her if you are in the area.

Owner was there from daybreak to late afternoon, and Mazey was seen near the Bear some time after she left! Apparently she has been frequenting that area so it is hoped that she will be caught soon.

A kind person on another forum is going to spend some of her week's holiday this week looking for her around the Bear. The local press is featuring Mazey, and numerous people in the area are keeping their eyes open. I think you can be reassured that even if you personally are not able to help, all the people who can help are really doing their very best.

Update today: more sightings of Mazey in the last couple of days, including one by a lady whose dustbin she was seen raiding.

Is there still no news that Mazey has been found? Can't bear to think of her out there and all alone this cold and wet weather.

Had a call from Mazey's owner today, still no luck. Mazey still seems to be around the area of the Bear Inn in Solihull, but although the owner has rushed down every time there has been a sighting she has always been a bit too late. Hope the poor dog has found somewhere sheltered to lie up out of the wet. There are so many people looking out now that it is surprising she has not been caught yet.

Will keep everyone informed, and if there is anyone in the area who can help perhaps they would kindly mail me so that I can put them in touch with the owner. There has been publicity in local papers so perhaps more people will take notice and watch for Mazey.

I spoke to Sharon (Mazey's owner) last night and there was a possible sighting of Mazey,, (she was described to a T ) on Salters Street Lane heading towards Cut Throat Lane,, in Earlswood Solihull at 8.30 on Thursday Morning.

Unfortunately she didn't receive this info until late last night.

She's out there today posting piccies and leaflets..

Could someone please pass on this suggestion to the lady who's lost Masey. I cant cause I'm on the other side of the world. Tell her to go out at night when everything is still and quiet. Just drive her car very slowly in the area where her dog has been sighted. Keep her window down and continually call Masey as loudly as she can. Whistle or use whatever calls she used to use to get Masey to come to her. I lost my whippet years ago & this is how I got her back. My throat was killing me from yelling & I was freezing cold, miserable and feeling hopeless. I cant tell you the thrill I felt when I saw her come running to me out of the fog at about 1am. It just might work. I hope she finds her. Linda
