Firstly thanks to everyone who replied to my "Advise needed" posting yesterday. What a lovely community I have stumbled upon.

I live near Chertsey in Surrey and intend to get an adult rescue whippet, does anyone know where I should go or of a dog that needs a home?

Yes, there is a waiting list, I am on it, and hoping to get one this summer too. I know from experience that it can take a while to get through to the rescue number but you can leave a message and they will call you back.

In preparation I have been reading lots of useful advice on k9, there are lots of very helpful and knowledgeable people here.
