Lurcher Link is always worthwhile looking at if you want to adopt a sighthound. Here are just some of the current listings

I've chosen some of the most whippet-like hounds

Sid 18 mo old whip/bedlington (wirehaired) returning to Greyhound Gap as he didn't get on with first adopter's incumbent dog + needs more attention and training

Duke is a very handsome whippet boy!!

Nice to know he's lost that weight now :D

Some gorgeous dogs there

I think Shyla has now been rehomed (not that I've been looking at her or anything :- )

If anyone is considering Cutie please don't be put off by his deafness. Dogs communicate with each other through body language, so they respond very well to being taught hand signals (in fact it's probably more natural than teaching them verbal commands), and he's only a baby so will be very easy to train

Cutie is very tempting - I have a empty place in the house??? Is it too soon??? Do I need to give Jasper time???

I have met Duke today at the greyhound gap show. He is truly a stunning whippet and is now nowere near as fat as in the photo he is even nicer in the flesh than in the photo.

Greyhound Gap have just taken an absolutely gorgeous 2 year old back whippet girl.

Poor little thing has lived her life in a shed and has had at least one litter, her nails are horrendous - I doubt she's ever been walked  She was given to someone who has a whippet of their own by someone driving past who asked her if she wanted another one :(

Despite all of that she is so pretty and sounds an absolute poppet - very sweet and friendly

She's not for rehoming yet, but there's a thread and pictures on the GAP forum chat area (you have to be a board member to see it). I hope she doesn't wait long for a home where she will be loved and cared for as she deserves :luck:
