Hello to the Forum and Happy New Year.

I write from Spain and first of all excuse because I do not know write well your language.

I am a lover of the Whippets and have a five-year-old female of line Rivarco and Black Do Vale. It is a love of bitch. With her(it) I come to exhibitions of beauty and we spend(pass) it to ourselves very well.

This year I want to go in March to Crufts, it is the first time that I go and am very deceived.

Do you know the schedules and ring of judgment(reason) of the Whippets?

Regards and graces(thanks). Manuel

Hi Manuel

Welcome to K9. Your English is pretty good, but do you mean you are 'confused' rather than 'decieved'?

There is a Crufts website. If you have not already looked at it here is the link

http://www.crufts.org.uk/

Cheers

Pauline

I have just looked at the website myself and can't find any information about which ring Whippets are judged. Maybe someone who has entered can give you the information.

Pauline

Many graces, alomejor even they have not placed the schedules or ring of the Whippets. Has it(he,she) gone at some time to Crufts?

How many Whippets are judged?

Hi again Manuel

Try this link to get a copy of the schedule [pdf file]

http://www.fossedata.co.uk/downloads/pdf/C...08_Schedule.pdf

Whippets are exhibited on Sunday 9th March in Hall 4 - Dogs in Ring 19 and Bitches in Ring 20

I don't know what the entry will be as entries not closed yet.

You are only thinking of going to watch are you? Entries close Monday 7th Jan [Mon 14th Jan online]

Pauline

Hello Manuel and welcome to K9. Entries have not closed yet so we are unable to tell you the number of whippets entered, but there will be lots. Whippets are judged in Hall 4, with dogs judged in Ring Number 19 and Bitches judged in Ring Number 20. There are 12 classes for dogs and 12 classes for bitches.

I hope this helps.

Jenny

Thank you very much again, already be the pavilion(flag) and the ring where the Whippets will be judged.

The schedule when it works out published?

I suppose that there will be many Whippets inscribed(registered) in Crufts since there is a judge for females and other one for males.

I go like expectador, want to visit the major exhibition of the world!

My favorite races are the Whippet, the Tibetan Terrier, Basenji, Greyhound, etc, etc, without forgetting the Hound Inhabitant of Ibiza, a preciousness.

I am going to try to put Gilda's photo, my Whippet.

Embraces!

Hi Manuel, welcome to k9.

We have 2 dogs and a bitch that are all by Int Ch Rivarco Classic Jazz. I would love to see some photos of Gilda.

I hope that you get over to watch the whippets at Crufts in March.

There are usually in excess of 300 whippets at crufts !!!!

My boy Blue's dad is also Rivarco Classic Jazz - here he is:

Welcome to K9 Manuel :D

My God! .... 300 Whippets! .... I have never seen so many people united! .... in the Spanish exhibitions the maximum thing that can be seen they are 10 copies(specimens), though in the obligatory points for championship there come many Whippets of France and Portugal and we join more.

I believe that this night I will not sleep thinking about Crufts!

Your Whippets are really beautiful. Did Rivarco Classic Jazz gain(earn) the race in Crufts?

He won his first CC at crufts, also he won best on breed in 2005 ( i think)

Gilda is beautiful. I hope you have a great time at Crufts...what a wonderful experience it will be. I hope you meet some K9'ers too

(w00t) does that make them cousins??? (w00t) Nice to know some of Blue's extended family are on here too! Got any pics?

In Spain the Whippet it is a race even minority. Here the Group 10 it form(train) the following races:

- Afghan hound - Borzoi - Whippet - Fond of sweets Italian (Piccolo) - Spanish greyhound - Polish Greyhound - Hungarian Greyhound - Irish Wolfhound - Deerhound - Greyhound - Saluki - Slougui - Azawack

The races that more are seen in exhibitions are the Afghan, Spanish greyhound and Whippet, but few copies(specimens).

A copy(specimen) of Spanish greyhound has been A Better chosen Dog of the Year 2007 in Spain and has been going to compete to USA to the Championship Eukanuba.

I like much the line of dogs Rivarco, Barnesmore, Sporting Fields, etc, etc, definitively I like the Whippets!

Regards!

Gilda is for lack of a point (CAC) to be a champion of Spain and has his(her, your) obligatory point (CAC) of Portugal.
