Whippet Rescue Ireland no longer functions as a rescue group, but operates a facebook page http://www.facebook.com/WhippetRescueIreland?fref=ts as a sort of clearing house listing whippets and whippet mixes in Irish pounds and rescues. Some of the personel of Sighthound Strolls were involved with WRI and Sighthound Strolls does rescue work as well as organising meetups. In Northern Ireland Collooney kennels does some rescue work and other members of NI Whippet Club are sometimes involved in rescue and rehoming of whippets.
