My 7 year old whippet bitch has developed parallel ridges of raised scurfy skin inside the main flap of each ear, - 4 ridges to each ear, each about 10-12mm long and about 6mm apart. They are not irritating her at all, but she has been under the weather since developing them, is losing weight and is lethargic with apparent pain if she is bumped by one of the other dogs.

The vet cannot diagnose anything but is in agreement that there is something going on.

Anybody got any ideas?

Regards,

Akitaman

possibly an auto immune disease? I knew an Afghan once who had lupus which affected his skin, edges to ears, tip of tail and end of nose

Hope she is better soon
