(w00t) she managed to get the car over to the hard shoulder and got herself and the dogs out.she in one piece and dogs are ok.shes somewhere in barnsley at the moment in a pick up truck with a very worried driver(she told him about the time she was hit by a bus in the van the other year!) :- " poor buggers now bricking it thinking hes picked up a jonah! anyway shes in one piece and she's gonna be home later :sweating:

Poor Jac, that must have been terrifying to happen on the motorway - so glad she pulled over in time to avoid an accident.

I'm home!! :sweating:

Little bit scarier than what I told Mum. Basically engine died on the bend of A1M in section with no hard shoulder (so I was basically in left hand lane of dual carriageway about 200yds after the bend) Seeing 36ton wagons speeding round was enough incentive to get me and Dobs out the van. :- "

HUGE THANKS TO VICKY & MARK, CRAIG & NICOLA

Who took the crazy risk of coming rescueing me & Dobs!! :huggles:

They went on to get the van in a slightly safer area which even the motorway officers weren't happy about as they came, did a road block and plonked me, Mark and van on slip road to ferrybridge services while we waited for tow home.

Thanks guys, you know you shouldn't of, but I'm glad you did. :huggles:

Jac (Tired, stressed and not doing any photos till tomorrow) :p

Phoned the AA to come to my rescue, and after 10 min's with his head under the bonnet, he said its got the garage cough (w00t) and I'd only had it serviced on Saturday morning

My heart fluttered when I read this because it happened to me on the motorway, I was in the second lane doing about 60 when it happened, I managed to get across to the hard shoulder but almost got taken out by a lorry, I've never been so frightened in all my life. The RAC were great, and the lady on their control contacted the Highway Agency just to check on me because I was alone when it happened. It's probably the most scared I've ever been. Glad you and Dobs are safe and well Jac.
