 Took William and Owen to the park last night for a run but didn't see the staffie being walked round the edge of the field round a bend in the bushes. I let them both looseand as usual they went belting up the field.

On the way back to me they saw the staffie which was on an extending lead and fortunately very friendly.

Owen went straight to say hello but I was watching him ready to grab him if the staffie went for him and took my eye of William. He suddenly squealedand the man told me he had run straight into a tree I had my back to himso didn't see this.Needless to say he carried on running with nothing wrong The staffie carried on with his walk and us on ours

When William eventually decided to stop running and came back to me I checked him over

couple of grazes on his hip and one at the bottom of his leg on the inside probably done it himself with his claws

No damage to the tree Took him home, William not the tree, bathed it with salt water and put some aloe vera on it hope he'll be alrifgt for Mid Counties in Oct and no scars or marks

As long as everyone is ok, bet you felt sick when you say the staffie :(

Glad to hear William is ok :huggles: :huggles:

Hope the tree is ok (w00t) (w00t)

and William too!! :huggles: :huggles:

First time I let Freddie off he ran straight into the middle of a thorny bush. :( He's never done it since though!

i used to have a really dumb dobermann male who used to run straight into the stable wall and knock himself senseless!boy was he stupid!he grew up with some chickens and for years he thought he was a chicken!he used to eat food with them and run around with them!and they say dobes are intelligent!

Glad he's alright  I'm always waiting for one of ours to do it  as their always watching eachother and never where their going :b

Teasel was chasing Leon and Picco through the living room out into the garden and then hammering back into the living room again yesterday :b

I was doing something really fiddly at the time  so the next time they flew through the back door  I closed it to keep them out until I'd finished

About 10 seconds later I heared a big thud followed by a smaller thud followed by an even smaller thud as they all got suprised by the closed back door

I wonder why their called Sighthounds sometimes :teehee:

Cheers

Steve

Chelsea hit a tree once ( in our garden, 30' Sycamore <G>). She knocked herself out but was fine within 5 mins and the Vet said not to bother taking her in! She has hit my knee a couple of times too. Perhaps they all nedd contact lenses. (w00t)

You cruel man

Took Max out lamping the other night, just so he could see some rabbits, and for me to watch his reaction, I drove slowly around this flat field and shone the beam onto some white tails, well Max only banged himself up against the windscreen 3 times, he was going ballistic. My fault I suppose..............oopps !!!!!

Keen or what ?

Well cally can ripe herself open on bushes even in our back garden she sutch a dafft pratt but she does love staffys she met one a few months back on the beach at blackpool and they spent hafe an hour playing ball togethere there wa\s a lovly pattern to it. the staffys owner throug the ball cally and the staffy chased after it cally got there first and stood over it till the staffy got there and staffy picked tha ball up and carred it back to his owner I think she thought the staffy was just there to take the ball back for her

The other staffy she met was at the whippet champ last month and he was lovly she would have been of lead and playing with him if she could and i think he would have been happy to do the same there are some niceones out there

I 've seen the staffie before and knew it was friendly but have never let mine loose near it William and Owen are both very friendly but acting together had no idea what they would do if the staffie had grumbled at Owen William would have gone looking for a fight

Glad to hear that William is OK (barring a couple of scratches). It's also nice to hear about friendly staffies - just shows what pratts some staffy owners are - they like 'em to be mean.

My old GWP used to walk infront of us, but always look behind at us!!

The number of times he walked into a wall I cannot remember too numerous to count!!! (w00t)

We went back to the park last night Wiliam kept away from the tree

Yes it is still standing

I had a good look at it though and found a load of white hairs on one side so now think he managed tododge the tree but just caught his back leg on it

William is ok he wasn't even a bit stiff the next day

Oh well like they say were there's no sense ther's no feelig - obviously right in his case
