It really struck me this weekend how important it is to have losers, as much as winners. With my dog I'm have been lucky to compete at the highest level.and I'm really grateful. However, there is people in our sport, who time after time turn up to compete knowing that they will not contesting the finals or run-offs, but they still keep coming...to me, they are real winners, and I will be saying that in my next report...thank you all.

Regards

Paul

Whilst halway Judgeing on Saturday i was talking to a man who had been in whippet racing for 37 years, his son was running his dog for him and it won its first round heat, he said to me that is the first time any of his dogs had ever won an open race, he went on to finish runner up in its weight class final, 37 years is a long time dedicated to a sport without a win of any kind, how many more would be that patient in this instant gratification world we live in, not many i would think.

Very true Paul well said.
