Club Report Saturday 24th March 2012
Another lovely days racing which saw two heats in the handicap, first heat with Paper Dragon (39), Montana’s Impact (24) and Come on Bess (19) was a well run race. Come on Bess crossed the finish line first with Montana’s Impact second and Paper Dragon third. Well done Craig with Come on Bess. Heat 2 was between R N R (23), Sapphire Flash (23) and Merry Legs (23), in this exciting race R N R ran well to come in first, Merry Legs second and Sapphire flash bringing up the rear. This saw Craig’s two lovely bitches R N R and Come on Bess through to the final to compete against Montana’s Impact and Merry Legs. The final was a fantastic race with Come on Bess winning overall, R N R second, Montana’s Impact third and Merry Legs in fourth. Well done all competitors. The Scratch final between Citizen Smiff and Stay Out was a good race with Stay Out taking first place, well done Stay out.
In the Race Trials Lucy, Merl and Archer got a run together, Ruby with Tess, Cleo ran solo, Lyric, Toad and Roman ran together and Dexter had a solo run. Finally Erin had a good solo running only three quarters of the track and showing a good improvement in her running on previous weeks. In closing I’d just like to remind everyone that there will be no racing on Saturday next week due to the club hosting the BWRA Puppy Champs and Andy Patterson open on Sunday.
