Well today at Worcester has been very eventful with both highs (w00t) and lows. :(

The talking point today was that Poppys sister Sky had an accident and unfortunatly broke 2 bones in her ankle :( . She got a bit too excited and managed to escape mum and run over to the track. the problem was she went to jump the barrier and caught her legs then fell awkwardly. :( .

We all send lots of licks and wags her way and hope she recovers soon.

On a more possitive note there was a lot of good trials and races as well( weather didn't hurt eather :) ) Poppy had a couple of half track trials and ran very well. she just gets better and better :p

Paddy loved the day and had his first race with 2 dogs. He ran very well and dare i say it is a lot better in the traps. A big thanks to Jeff with Nelson and Ray with his dog.

Jenny and Neil.

Glad you and your dogs enjoyed the day Jenny.

Yes, it was a great shame about Sky's injury. She will be having her leg pinned on Tuesday hopefully. Frances says she has eaten her dinner and is on pain-killers and feeling much more comfortable now.

Fingers crossed for her. :luck: :luck: :luck:

It was such a shame that sky slipped away from her owner and broke her leg it just shows how easy these accicents can happen we wish sky a speedy recovery shes a gorgeous little dog :luck:

Just spoken to a very upset Francis. They are both gutted for poor little Sky.but the brake(s) were clean across. The vet will probably place permanant pins into her and with age on her side the leg should mend as good as new.Such a shame as she had just started trialling and was keen, but like you say it shows how easy accidents can happen :( .Wishing Sky a speedy recovery :luck: :luck: :luck:

:( get well soon sky....dottie and smudge send you sniffs licks and kisses :huggles: :huggles:

:luck: :luck: speedy recovery :luck: :luck:

best wishes to little sky, hope she is soon back running

Poor little lady :( Sending you lots of :luck: and hugs for a speedy recovery, Naomi & Rob x

I've seen little Sky's pictures at her dad Costabob's house, and she is such a pretty little girlie - so extra sad to hear she has had an accident, and has some broken bones. Just shows that no matter how careful we are, the unexpected can happen.

Mum and Dad are tough gutsy whippets, so no doubt Sky will take after them, and will sail through this with the same bravery as her parents :huggles: Sending lots of love and hugs to Sky, and hope she makes a full and speedy recovery :huggles:

Also, licks and kisses from half brother and sister Sweep and Nibs :huggles:

Hope Sky is better soon, poor little love :huggles:

We were so sorry to hear this news yesterday, today, I am very relieved there are two simple fractures. It is extremely encouraging to knoew this little bitch will heal well and go on to be a successful little racer in time. Good luck little Sky, and behave :D

Just spoken to Frances and Sky has had the operation on her broken leg today.

The orthapaedic surgeon came in specially to do it and has put two permanent pins in her leg. He said that it all went as planned. :sweating:

She is still quite groggy from the anaesthetic but Frances has lots of treats lined up for her when she gets her appetite back and sounded very relieved that the surgery was over. Pleased to say it has not put them off racing and and she and John are looking forward to visiting with her once she is feeling better.

We wish this little one a straightforward and speedy recovery, - she has been such a brave girl! :huggles: :luck: :luck: :luck:

Thats good to hear. And I'm glad it hasn't put John & Francis off racing. Sky is so young so she may well race yet.
