ZOE

Zoe is a 1 year old greyhound girlie who was surplus to her owner’s requirements and has never raced. She is a very small, slender little black lass who is putting on condition now that she’s out of kennels.

Zoe is a very sweet little dog, a real poppet. She is friendly and affectionate with everyone in her foster home, and acts like she can’t quite believe all the toys and soft beds are for her! She has a really lovely personality and it’s a joy to watch her explore and discover the world.

Zoe has been brilliant with absolutely everyone she has met so far, and this includes people, dogs, cats and even chickens. She loves snuggling on the couch and loves giving kisses even more. She is currently sharing her foster home with other dogs, cats and several hens, all of whom she is very good with. She just wants to play with them all, though the cats aren’t very keen on this idea!

Zoe would do very well in a family home with children that she can play with and who will teach her tricks as she is a bright little girl. She would also love another dog or two to play with as she greatly enjoys their company and is learning a lot about her foster home from watching her doggie housemates. She is fast becoming housetrained and behaves well in the home. She is still very much a puppy and is quite playful and energetic, enjoying her daily exercise just as much as her cuddles on the sofa.

Out and about, Zoe is very good. She can be a little bit spooked by very loud trucks or sudden noises, but this should dissipate as she gains in confidence and gets used to the world outside of the kennels where she grew up.

In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

Zoe is currently in foster care in Norfolk, UK. She can be homed anywhere in the UK, but please note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet/collect her. She is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in adopting Zoe , please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Emails are usually replied to within 24hrs. Thanks!
