Allergic to puppy

My 6 year old son has a stuffy nose, sneezing and now has puffy eyes which has all started since we bought our puppy home. What should I do? We have had her since Saturday, will the symptoms get better? Should we take him to the gp?

Oh dear! I would take your son to the GP to confirm what your suspicions are.

You might like to contact the breeder of your puppy to warn them of the situation. A good breeder should take any puppy they breed back. Upsetting though it is, puppies do not come to any harm from moving homes at this age (I am assuming your puppy is about 8 weeks old?). In fact it can help with their socialisation to be around lots of different people.

Hopefully your son will just have a cold and the above will be irrelevant.
