Hello again everyone, another question about zappa's behaviour,

I gave zappa a chew treat, but zappa does this weird behaviour, jumping around, whinning, butt in the air like he is playing, gives the treat back to me and barks a little, tail wagging a lot, he seems super happy about it, but won't chew it :D

Any ideas on what this behaviour means?

Is he like this with all treats, or is it a specfic sort?

I once gave Jasper a deer antler. He took it into the garden, barked at it, playbowed at it, jumped away to try to get it to chase him... I wonder if Zappa's doing something similar?

Maybe - and this is pure speculation - they are mimicking what they would do as pups if their mum brought home some live prey for them to practise on.

Exactly like that JudyN, but only with this two types of treats (chew treats, one is a crocodile shape treat, and the other is a bone shape but made from cheese). I gave him a deer antler and he loves it, bully sticks (I found them here :D ) he also loves, but this 2 treats he playbowed them , its very strange haha

Love to know what goes through their heads sometimes!
