The Seresto collar with a new name "Flea and Tick Control Collar" there has been a change in the legal category and it no longer needs a prescription to purchase the product.

Ooh, thank you, @excuseme :) It's about time I got one, and this will make it a lot simpler.

Didnt realise you needed a script.. here they are available via good pet suppliers.

Having searched online for a few minutes I have discovered a lot of different suppliers that I have never noticed before with ".com" websites. I just hope these are genuine products:confused:

Blimey, that's a major expense, @excuseme  I bought mine (with a prescription) from Animed Direct last year.

Too many dogs!!
Our original 5 were never a problem, but since keeping the 2 puppies last year and then having a girl come back from a gamekeeper after 6 years, just before last Christmas, we now have 7:eek:
They all live in our small house with us as family members, but the extra 3 make a huge difference. Especially with expenses like the Seresto collars.

We should compare costs - if there is a big difference maybe we could collaborate!

Well the price wow... at zooplus.nl the one for dogs over 8kg is €29.99 the same one by my online vet is € 30.75 how does that compare with the uk? I know a lot of things are cheaper in the UK because suppliers order in bulk from manufacturers whereas we are such a small country our orders are small by comparison.

Bizarrely I couldn't find Seresto on a search of Zooplus. But the prices online seem to range between £28 - £30 so not much of a difference from you.

Must be set price at the manfacturer then. I still buy books in English even though I read Dutch because the average novel costing £10- in the UK will cost €19.99 nearly 20 quid here. I also get my English tea bags ( sorry addictted to my builders tea) sent over from the UK and save up to 50% on buying them here.

We always take tea bags to France because French tea tastes really different (iow horrid)!

The Dutch have what they call English tea, but its very weak mostly drunk without milk. A lot of people like flavoured tea and while I can cope with Earl Grey or similar,, flavours like blueberry muffin , bubble gum and winter spice just dont do it for me.

Eeew, bubble gum tea! Some countries just aren't civilised!

If I buy a Seresto collar from the vet it's over £40, so it works out cheaper to pay him for a prescription and buy online. Though it's a different matter if I've left it too late and J already has a few attached.

He got one on his eyelid once. Hurrah for the wonderful woman in the local pet shop who helped me get it off him without too much trauma - it's a shame the shop closed.

I have just looked on the Zooplus site and the soresto collars for large dogs is priced at £24.86, but I can not manage to place an order!!!!

How odd - I couldn't see them! Doh!

I can't find large ones anywhere for less than £31.85 (Vivapets) - there was one for £30, but I'd never heard of them (eCrater).

I have just tried to contact Zooplus using this email address(office@zooplus,co.uk) which is their contact us address on screen, but my bt emails will not send it as they say the address is not recognised.
I still have the Seresto collars showing on their site for £24.86 but no option to order.
What am I doing wrong?

Probably nothing - my guess is they are. Could you post the url of the page you're looking at please? I've searched their site and can't find the collars.
