Mr F was too embarrassed to ask the driver to take them back so we had to get very creative with banana recipes.

@JoanneF Did that amount of bananas and banana related cooking not put you off them for a while?!
While I was loading my shopping yesterday into bags at the checkout, I shook one bag open and a huge waft of musky ferret smell filled the area, they love to play in bags and I must of accidently tidied their play bag in with my bag of bags in the kitchen!!

It's a good thing that we are well spaced out at our Sainsburys checkouts at the moment!. PHEW
If I had been too close to you I would probably have complained about your lack of personal hygiene

But yes, it did put me off both bananas and online shopping!

@JoanneF no worries! I tried online food shopping a couple of times, before this virus, and it took me soooo long to do and it just annoyed me intensely, so I just ditched the idea...and I kinda like being in the supermarket to see the bargains too! So now I queue, socially distanced of course, for mostly around 40mins to get my shop, I just have to build myself up to it these days(and wait until my cupboards, fridge and freezer are like old mother Hubbards!)
@excuseme thank god for the spacing! I thought if it smelt strong to me (and I am quite immune to the scent) it must have been really strong...eeek!!!

I'm doing all my shopping online at the moment, with Ocado. I've popped up to the local M&S foodhall about 4 times, mostly when we've run out of milk, but that's getting to feel quite peoply. I miss using the local shops, and the extra packaging, and the fact that I can't buy a single pepper, onion, or whatever, but it minimises any risk of getting infected.

@JoanneF, presumably you're still getting out on dog walks?

Initially, I assumed you had noticed before you placed the order …not actually had 42 bananas delivered
We always seem to end up with a glut of too ripe bananas, so if you found any good recipes I would love to know.

Enjoy Tuesday (I went for a dog walk with a friend last week - it was so nice just to chat to someone different, and it not be a conversation on the phone / internet).

Oh, we had banana bread, banoffee pie, banana trifle, banana on toast, banana smoothies and even steak with banana sauce (that really is a recipe in a proper recipe book and it is much nicer than it sounds)

I'm not a great fan of bananas, but when I was pregnant with DS1 I got through gallons of banana Nesquik I hadn't had it since I was about 6, haven't had it since, and don't like milk as a drink (DS2 was built out of avocados and potato), so goodness knows what made me try it. I wouldn't describe it as a craving, just the only thing I could face drinking without wanting to throw up!

That actually sounds quite nice! I like bananas and anything with that flavour...if only my tummy and blood sugars would agree with it OOOOhhh....banana on toast...that does sound tempting..(I must be getting hungry and ready for my late breakkie)

banana nesquik….one of my childhood favourites! My sister preferred strawberry flavour but because she was the younger one and mum would give her the preferential 'treatment', that was the flavour what we would most often have... No lasting trauma left from that though...haven't had any of the stuff since those years....it was looooooooong time ago....
Hmm..I wonder if the stuff still taste same for my adult tongue??

Our lot love bananas. If I gave 7 dogs, 1/2 a banana each every day, hmmm, it would still take quiet a while to use them all up.
