Has your JRT always been like this? Have you had him since he was a pup?

For treating his separation anxiety, would you be able to commit to not leaving him at all for a while? This would then enable you to get him used to being left very gradually, literally starting with a couple of minutes... or less. Or do you have to go out to work?

If he doesn't like being bathed, do you actually need to bath him? Most dogs can go happily through life without being bathed, and there's always the option of a damp flannel instead.

What is he like in other circumstances - is he likely to be snappy with the grandchildren, and is this just if they try to approach him, stroke him or play with him?

How long do you walk him for each day, and do you do anything else with him such as games or training?

Also, what food does he have - brand and variety?

As for the leg cocking indoors - has he always done this? The answer might be to go back to puppy house-training basics, and to be very careful about cleaning up the 'accidents'. We can give you more info on that, but I don't want to overload you with too much at once.

@Barney 3

If you had to prioritise, what's the problem that bothers you most? We could advise on that with more detail.

Thankyou for getting back to me he s such a big part of my life I have managed to bath him he smelt and was really worried he was suffering due to the heat but hard to believe not one tic or flea on him been using the tablets for that we had to go to war for me to bath him and I think your right about dogs don’t need to be bathed often your reply has helped me so much thankyou i should have put it out there sooner.

Try not to make things into a conflict. It only destroys your relationship. Can you find things you can do that both of you enjoy? Like, for example, teaching him a simple trick? That means both of you get a benefit, you are communicating, working towards a goal you share, and building a bond.
