Which famous people have whippets?

I'm sure i Alex James from Blur has a blue whippet, just wondered if anyone knew of any more

Yep, Alex James has one - sure I saw a pic of him with it in one of the Sunday magazines. It put the seal on my husband realising that only cool people have whippets...!

Not exactly A-list, but I remember reading in Smash Hits in the 80s that Glenn Gregory from Heaven 17 had Whippets and loved them because he liked watching them out-run the other dogs in the park! Also vaguely recall pictures in a Hello magazine article about Michael Douglas' ex-wife at her home in Spain with some lovely Italian Greyhounds. AND, I think Trinny owns one.

Ooh, ooh - forgot to add that art critic Brian Sewell had rescued a beautiful white Whippet bitch and there was a very sweet photo of him holding her, but can't find it just now. Oh dear, I've fired up Google now and may be back with more throughout the afternoon!

Wow I'm well impressed with all your knowledge (w00t) Ive just googled Brian Sewell and he has owned 2, managed to read a great article about his second one rolling in badger poo and being unable to get rid of the smell for ages :x but couldnt copy it off, (stupid macs at work grrr)

There was a post similar a while back which mentioned a certain BILLY MACKENZIE who was the lead vocalist with 1980s band "The Associates". He was well known in the racing scene with his whippets, sadly he took his own life back in 1997.
