Just back from the Nationals....what a FUN!!!!! :)

Karen,I am so sorry that we finally could not find a moment to speak :( , but I am so happy to met You and Your Whippets! I love Your crew!

I think it was the very best Whippet week in my whole life!

Fantastic organization, fantastic dogs  !

I hope that one day I will be able to return...... :-

We took some pics as well, but need some time to work on them and upload....but I will share the URL where to find them soon!

OMG, the pups here at home went so big during the last week! Real Whippies now with 9 weeks of age.....

A long summary of the AWC Nationals is now avaliable on my website....only hungarian at the moment, but I'm going to write the english version soon, hopefully this weekend.

On the other hand: pictures are international, so everyone is welcome to browse the gallery:

Quality is not the highest, because there were no more room in our suitcases for the big zoom we have, hope You won't mind.

And finally here is a picture of City with a photo of grandfather DualCH Locar's Ferrari BIF SC, winning the 2 days field event; Presidential Cup 1997. The photo of Fifi is one of the "material memories" we brought home from Atlanta.....

I love this photo you took of me and my Triathlon dog, Dual Ch. Diablesse Say Surrey Hill FCH.

Dear me, I think that's Thomas Munch (Flic Flac) in the background blowing his nose. :nuke:

See, you never know when someone will be snapping away!

PS : for those who couldn't join un : this year the national has a fun evening as well : whipped diguised contest and a karaokee kind of competition (song contest)

I am trying to get the photographers who were there to send me photos of the Whippet Idol night. That was a lot of fun! The costume contest dogs--I have some of them.

The welcome party was FUN! :D

I am really amazed and suprized on how friendly the Whippet People are in the USA. Even the "big names". That is something we should learn here in Europe.... 8)

We really had a great time there, and the Whippets are simply WONDERFUL.

This guy obviously left before the "adult" part of the welcome party began, but he has a lot of photos of the Easter costumes.

Easter Costume Contest Photos

This is a ten year old dog I bred. The owner worked very hard on this "Easter Chick" costume, and it wasn't even a finalist! There were so many costumes that showed so much work and time went in.

I am so glad you all had a great time who travelled so far to get here.

Nick and I are back and had a great time - just been recovering so I haven't had time to sort through the nearly 3000 (yes 3k) photos that he took!! When I do I'll be putting up a link to them so people can browse at their leisure.

It was great to meet up with our friends over there. Nick became 'Uncle Nick' to a few whippets. It was also nice to put faces to names for people I hadn't met like petrezselyem who shared our table at the Final night banquet.

We were also very excited that an artist entered a drawing of Teya in the art show and it went Best in Show - so how cool is that! I know some people on other boards already know this, but for those who don't here's the scoop: http://www.whippetworld.net/board/viewtopi...?f=2&t=1778. It was then auctioned off at the final night banquet so of course we had to bid and won (phew!).

Ooh - and for those of you who know my collar addiction - are you sitting down?? We bought 2 collars (yup ONLY two) the whole time we were there - both for Chelsea, and one was bought by Nick and NOT me! Shocking eh?? Not that there weren't some fantastic ones, but I think it's time to make sure I've at least used all the ones I have at least once LOL

Anyway - someone else mentioned it would be wonderful to do something like that here, and certainly it would! Maybe someday...
