Hi,

Has any one any exerience on getting a greyhound with CHR to eat,

my boy has this dreadfull illness and it is hartbreaking to watch him not eat hardly anything exept for his tablets which are put down his throut and the fluids which I am putting in to him

If anyone has any ideas for tasty dishes for him,My vet has suggested I don't worry about low protin low phosphrus untill he has a better appitite.

Sorry to appear ignorant, what is CHR?
Sorry I ment CRF ( chronic Renail Failure) I should have checked before I posted

still in work mode !!!

Glenn did manage to eat nearly 2 cheese burgers through out the night.( my vet knows I have done this )

I am trying him with food every 2 hours

What is the outlook for the dogs future? Is it likely to recover?

Has your vet suggested anything that might help? Dogs with CRF are sometimes given medication to stimulate their appetite, and some dogs with this condition also suffer with nausea which can be helped with medication.

I really feel for you, it's not an easy thing to manage. I hope that with treatment and diet you are able to keep him comfortable for a good while yet :luck: :luck:
