A belated welcome from Mabel (whippet) and George (cat).

    A ferrety update

I do feel for you, Flobo. I know he had a wonderful mum and he knew it. All thoughts and a hug. X

    Treats

I’ve bought something called ‘paddywack’ from a dog food specialist shop in town. Took Mabel quite some time to get through it but I had to stop giving it to her as she started to swallow large bits and choking.

    Whippet Pup Heart Murmur

I’m so sorry about your loss but many thanks for thinking of others.

    Is it the right time?

Why guilt? What you did was out of unselfish love. You were thinking of her. She’s no longer in discomfort. Give yourself a big hug….and from all of us. X

    Crufts

Yes, we’re glued to it. That whippet was gorgeous as was the pointer. Currently watching the flyball and trying to get through the hysterical shouting of the participants. Loved ‘Hustle’.

    Extreme guilt

YOU were the saint in this trauma. YOU made that selfless decision to stop your whippet’s pain and discomfort. Give yourself the mother of all hugs. We’ve all been there and it’s never easy. X

    Moles!

When we lived in Shropshire moles were a common occurrence. I doubt whether your dog running around the garden would be of much help. One of our cats would catch them (I swear it was the same mole). We’d have to put on gauntlets (those buggers bite) and, once we could get hold of it, drop the...

    Medication re Corns.

I took Mabel to the vet last week to check out a cyst she has on her hind leg. That was fine - sent off for a biopsy and of no concern but just to keep an eye on it. As to the corns, they had developed somewhat so I asked about using Animalintex. The vet said that she had had little or no...
