A Small View Of Birmingham National Dogshow

I went along to Birmingham national show today solely to replace my lurchers favourite fishy treat but while there I was taken with some of the hounds and thought you might like to see a couple of pics.

It seems to me that show dogs and working dogs are even farther apart these days than in ages past but I thought that the dogs in the pics looked like decent examples of their respective breeds, albeit that with the exception of the standing wolfhound, I did not see these dogs moving.The wolfhound was lithe,active and well moving for such a large dog and looked the part, if nothing else the judge concluded him worthy of Best of Breed.

Another of the winning Irish wolfhound who I did rather like,don't think I'd be up to cleaning up after a dog who was quite that big though

even if I could afford to feed him in the first place.Cracking dog!
