I went along to Birmingham national show today solely to replace my lurchers favourite fishy treat but while there I was taken with some of the hounds and thought you might like to see a couple of pics.
It seems to me that show dogs and working dogs are even farther apart these days than in ages past but I thought that the dogs in the pics looked like decent examples of their respective breeds, albeit that with the exception of the standing wolfhound, I did not see these dogs moving. The wolfhound was lithe, active and well moving for such a large dog and looked the part, if nothing else the judge concluded him worthy of Best of Breed.
Anyway here you go,hope you enjoy the pics:
Deerhound
Whippet and Pharoah hound
show greyhound and Irish wolfhound
Enjoy the pics
