he is lovely, keep us up to date with pics. I love puppy pics!!

One week on and what a little bundle of fun he is! More and more energetic (the boy seriously needs a proper run!!), he seems to have just learnt how to bark/yap (we're making sure it achieves absolutely nothing for now...), showing very promising retrieval instincts, sits on command, is enthusiastically affectionate (goes too far and bites my nose "accidentally" sometimes...) and doesn't mind being left alone for a couple of hours - I tried it today for first time and left sound recorder in room to see how he'd react, and when I checked back over recording when I got home, it turned out he'd played with stuffed kong for 5 mins, whined for 10secs, kong for another 10, whined for 5 secs then slept for 1 3/4 hours until we came home. Really glad he isn't anxious - we are home a lot anyway, but it's good to know we're not bothering him when we do go out.

Anyway, here are a few more snaps:

How can you tell him off? Look at that little face! Have fun, they don't stay little for long.

Aww love the pics what an angelic little face. o:)

Lovely photos, - he could get away with anything with a face like that!

... The way things are looking I don't think that 'cow' is going to last long, (however, better the cow than your nose!)

 What a difference already, such a cute puppy he has really nice eyes.

Silas is seriously cute

How is the housetraining going after the 1st week?

he's lovely and that last photo is a cracker :D

I have one with eyes like that .

Looks like you are in for a lot of fun :-

He's getting visibly bigger, heavier, his fur's changing, his eyes are going greener and he's lively for longer stints now. We might have overfed him a touch - his weight has gained quite fast (he's 3kg now - can he really have gained about a kilo in a week and a half?! Or do I need new scales?) and his ribs are slightly harder to make out now, where they were quite obvious before. I may have slightly miscalculated the mix of 2 food types - is it dangerous to overfeed at this stage? That said, he runs and jumps around and seems healthy and happy. Paper training is going well for pee (80% strike rate), bad for poo - he just waits until we're asleep or not looking and does it wherever he feels like.

10 minutes ago he tried to hump my shin for the first time, how lovely - I thought I has just getting a nice hug for a moment...

Lauren's got a good photo gadget on her phone which makes it look like he was born in the 70's and drank red wine at 9 weeks:
