After speaking to Dave who asked me to put it on here with a saddened heart I want to express my deepest sympathy to both Diane and Dave and family on the loss of Seth (Deadly Cocktail), the best racing whippet that I've ever seen, on countless times he should have been a racing champion, who had such a sweet nature having to be pts tonight. He will be sadly missed.

He was a great dog and yes he should have been a RCH. Just heart breaking!

Diane and Dave I don't know what to say :( he was one of the best and will leave a massive hole and will be greatly missed by both myself and Barry

What can we say about such a sad loss,we are gutted and gobsmacked about the news.He was a fantastic racing dog but more than that he was your special boy and he was always a champion....RIP SETH..... So,so,sorry diane and dave
 
Thanks to everyone for your kind words for seth, both i and diane feel like we have had our hearts ripped out and we cant believe he has gone. seth was a great racer and a true gent on and off the track. He raced with some great dogs in what was a great era for whippet racing and he more than held his own, and we were so looking forward to racing him for a couple more years in the vets where he was still proving what a class act he still was and also looking forward to having him around the house for many years in charge of our gang who are already missing him like mad. He will be so sadly missed by everyone at the northern and by all our children and good racing friends from all around the country. r.i p. seth/ deadly cocktail forever our champion. thankyou and race safe dave.

so sorry to hear the sad news dave and diane,he was one of my favourate dogs,a genuine dog who always gave it his all,he will be sadley missed at the northren ,but iam sure he will be watching us, he will be never forgotten.run free seth .

To our dear friends Diane, Dave & Josh... I am absolutely gutted for you all at the tragic and sudden loss of such a special boy. Seth was a dog in a million.. He had such a wonderful nature and always gave 100% in every single race he ran (He was a champion many times over in my eyes). I know you are all absolutely heartbroken, but you did absolutely everything you possibly could to try and save him. Seth had a wonderful life and he knew how very much you loved him. I feel extremely privileged to have his daughter Olive.
