Just want to say hi found the forum by chance. Our little pup started licking her paws they look sore .We changed her food to wet but no change

Dogs tend to 'overgroom' some bit of themselves for two reasons: discomfort and anxiety. You can ask yourself if things changed in the dog's environment just prior to it happening. It can be anything from having your carpets shampooed (allergic reaction) to hyperactive child coming to stay (nervous exhaustion!) or increasing your working hours (boredom and SA). Once you've eliminated everything then it's off to the vet I'm afraid. Dogs can become allergic suddenly to any substance- or mask an underlying health problem with this 'coping behaviour'. Good luck with your detective work.

Thank you for the reply she started doing it around the time she went to puppy classes. Now they have finished I have been told to use zirtex allergy relief.if it persists. I might just pop her to the vets and see what they say .

Take her to the vets they can run tests and see what the route of the problem is

Our jack russell has allergies in the summer and has a piriton daily..be careful which human antihistamine you give your dog as they can be poisonous. ..i would get advice from the vet as i was told only to give piriton
