Does anybody watch this show? The question tonight was about vulnerable native dog breeds .. I couldn't believe that out of 100 the bearded collie scored 15 and the Sussex spaniel only 4 people out of 100 people knew the breeds.
Did they look for people who didnt like dogs or have people really forgotten about all these wonderful dogs?

Bearded collies are two a penny round here! Mind you, we also have a lot of Irish setters which are also supposed to be increasingly rare. To be honest, I don't think I'd heard of a Sussex spaniel before getting Jasper and getting drawn into the wonderful world of dogs.

I watched it @Mad Murphy and was very surprised to see the bearded collie as a breed on the decline. I see lots.

We even know a couple of beardies who live near us so I was really surprised about them.
I expect the rise in spoodle crosses might explain a fall in spaniel breeds though.
