Hello Everyone!

I am an MBA student at Bournemouth University and I am preparing my research dissertation for summer.

This research project is about “The effects of canine presence on the workplace in United Kingdom”.
Since I believe a lot of people on this group had experienced the practice, I thought I might get insightful information from you.

Would anyone that have experienced dogs at the office be willing to do an online interview with me about this in the next months?

You will likely help managers to understand the benefits and risk of this practice to evaluate the feasibility of implementing it.

Your identity and company will be kept completely anonymous.

If you are interested please comment on this post.

You could also help me by sharing this with your colleagues that might be interested on participating.

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you for your time!

Andreína.

Hi @Andreina Valdez

we’re very lucky in that our offices allow dogs and our bosses (one being my husband) and the other a good friend both have dogs.

So quite often in our office we have:

12 year old black lab
7 year old beagle cross
1 year old sausage dog

It can be carnage when the naughty sausage wants to play but we feel so lucky that they can be with us and it makes us go out in the fresh air regularly

I don't know if people who have a dog and work from home are relevant? Having a dog certainly makes me less efficient, though so does being distracted by chores. That's not to say I do the chores, I just get distracted by them :D

Hi Josie!

That is great!

Would you be willing to further discuss this with me in an online interview?

Thanks for your reply!

Andreina

Hi Judy!

At the moment I am only focusing on dogs at organizations.

However I will discuss this with my supervisor because I am sure you have insightful information.

Thank you for your reply!!!

Regards,

Andreina

Hi @Andreina Valdez

Are you talking about a written interview or video?

I’m happy to do it, however, I am due a baby anytime now so it may be a bit difficult for me to pin down a time!

Hi @Josie

It will ideally be a videocall, but in the next months. Probably end of June. Does that sound more suitable for you?

If so, we could sort a time and day that is good for you.

Congratulations about your baby btw!

I look forward about your reply!

Andreina.

Hi Josie! @Josie

I have all documents and information ready for the interview.

Do you think you will finally have time to participate?

Please let me know! I look forward to hearing from you!

We are very lucky that we are allowed dogs in the office at work, I can only speak of the benefits that it has around the office. Everyone is happier and more productive and the dogs get the loving that they need day to day.
